The service aims to help young people access information, advice, and support on any issues that concern them. It also promotes citizenship and supports young people in sharing their views on their rights.

Glasgow Schools Counselling and Blues service delivers a bespoke package of one-to-one counselling and a 6-week group work programme to secondary schools in Glasgow City. They offer a confidential space for young people to work with trained counsellors to support and resource their mental health. Referrals are accepted from school staff, and pupils can also self-refer.

Holistic, confidential health and wellbeing service for young people aged 13 to 19 years with services throughout Glasgow City. South Clinics are based in Gorbals, Pollok, and Elderpark, Govan. Evening appointments available with Nurses, GPs & Counsellors.

Provides individual play therapy and therapeutic group work to children in the Govan area. Also, they offer Family Support.

Offers informal support to parents with at least one child under the age of 8. Supports families struggling with issues including poor mental health, physical health, learning difficulties, domestic abuse, isolation, challenging behaviours, addictions, disability, relationship breakdown, bereavement, and poverty. Working with children in various primary schools across Glasgow, we provide one-to-one and group Play Therapy to support children experiencing emotional distress. Transitions support for early years to primary and primary to secondary pupils living in the southwest of Glasgow. Supports pupils in addressing anxieties around transition and helps them reach their potential through group-based learning and one-to-one support, promoting social and emotional wellbeing.

Telephone, face-to-face, or blended support for 16 to 25-year-olds who are experiencing acute emotional distress. Response within 24 hours, available from 9 am to 2 am, including compassionate listening, distress alleviation, and coping strategies. CDRS will work with any young person who engages with them and will continue to support them for up to 4 weeks or more if needed. Referral by GPs, emergency services, 3rd sector, CAMHS, education settings, YHS, and social work.

If you are concerned about a young person’s mental wellbeing and think they may be in distress, please remember that you can contact NHS 24 on 111, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for advice. If a young person is at immediate risk, call 999 for emergency services.
Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services
For moderate-severe mental health issues (0 to 18). On-call duty clinician available from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday. Call 0141 201 5031. A written referral is required.
Out-of-hours mental health assessments
Now available from the CAMHS out-of-hours team at Stobhill Mental Health Assessment Unit. Call 0141 2013136. 16 to 18-year-olds who meet the MHAU criteria can now be seen within MHAUs. All those under 16 and those 16 to 18 who do not meet the criteria for MHAU will still be seen in emergency departments, out-of-hours services, or GP practices.
